Getting in the Groove Again

Yes, it's been a long time between posts. Since moving to Hawaii we have had extremely limited internet capabilities. Now we have new service and it is unlimited and about 10 times faster. No longer do I have to wait 10 hours to upload pictures :)
Early in April I made Stella a crown for her then upcoming 4th birthday.
She loves to wear crowns and dresses, but she also loves to skateboard and ride her pedal-free bike.
Well we mis-placed her flower crown for her birthday. She requested that I make another crown for her and her friend. She wanted rainbows and dolphins on it this time.
Kyle's Hula class and all the Hula classes at his school put on a Ho'olau'lea. Kyle was in the Royal Court as a Pu Blower.

For Mother's Day, Stella and I went into the woods and picked anthuriums.

Fast forward to today. I love doing laundry first thing in the morning. My wringer fits perfectly on this concrete wash sink. I wash the clothes in a big purple bucket in our large walk-in shower. It's easier to dump the bucket in there, and then I bring the clothes over to the wringer.

Well this morning as I was hanging them on the line there was all this steam rising from them. I had never seen anything like it before. I couldn't really capture it in the photo.
A good friend gave us some palm trees and I have now planted two of them in the front yard.
A peek into our forest...home to many, many anthuriums.
And avocados...can you spot them all in the photo below? Yum!!
 Part of the jungle...

Looking up into the mango trees...I sure hope they can produce some mangoes!
